Joan of Arc

Joan of Arc was a brave girl who only lived to be 19. In this time she accomplished a lot. Most importantly getting Charles the VII crowned who ended the 100 year war between England and France.

Why I bring her up? Today we had our yearly celebration in her memort at our Scouting group. Every year we hold a big party so everyone they be young or old can enjoy a day of fun.

And fun was had.

What did they make me do? Supervise the cake decorating contest. Really. I was like, how do you decorate slices of cake? Well, you put whip cream on it apparently and then you drop candy on top of that. That simple.

Then the rest of the evening was pretty meek, but still enjoyable. There was a big campfire, we had some beer and some hamburgers.

Maybe it does sound boring, but with a lot of friends you can easily entertain yourself.

This year is also the 100th birthday of scouting worldwide. If there is a scouting group near you, you could check it out sometime. There is always enough fun stuff planned, or you could volunteer to pester some children one night a week, which is always fun.

Now to only hope I don't have a hangover when I have to play handball in the morning ;)
